For simple overburden, our proprietary one point velocity modelling and depth conversion workflow generates hundreds of top reservoir depth realizations you can bring along the workflow. For more complex geological settings, predefined conventional velocity modelling methodologies are available (time to depth relationship, Vo+K, instantaneous velocity).

Our AI-enriched trap detection engine maps structural closure, fault-dependent traps, stratigraphic pinch-out and all the combinations (structural–stratigraphic). Unrisked volumes are automatically calculated and ranked to ensure no stones are left unturned. Input multiple surfaces so you can build a solid portfolio of prospects.

Geometric confidence from the fault count, seal provenance and amplitude evidence feeds a probability-of-success matrix you can edit for classical or near-field play. Stacked and adjacent prospects are grouped where one location can test several, and each cluster resolves to a ranked drilling target with its risked volume.

A tank material-balance simulator with aquifer support and pressure-consistent contact movement seeds producers and injectors on the trap, sizes the injectors to voidage replacement and runs the field to its licence end. GeomodL was known as GeomodL International, an upstream advisory firm active for the last 10 years. The founders have used the hundreds of projects run worldwide to identify the critical pain point: how to turn subsurface data into value without having to engage the teams for years.

Raffik Lazar

Founder & CTO

Petroleum geologist with 20 years of hands-on experience across the full maturity lifecycle, from exploration to appraisal, green-field development planning and mature-field optimisation. A carbonate sedimentologist and geomodeller by background (University of Provence, Marseille, France), Raffik spent 10 years with Shell International Exploration and Production in The Netherlands, Oman and Malaysia, working on world-class energy assets and creating and applying cutting-edge workflows.

Over the last 10 years he was the pillar of GeomodL International, advising energy companies on all techno-commercial aspects. Today Raffik is the mastermind of GeomodL, applying all of that experience to develop the fast track application pipeline — the six applications on this page.

Nik Y. (Aline) Kamaruddin-Lind

Co-founder & Advisor

Business strategist with 20 years of experience, Nik spent the first 5 years of her career in Houston, Texas running an oil and gas procurement business. Later Nik moved back to Kuala Lumpur to advise the CMO of a listed CMMS company with global reach, undertaking international business development strategy projects across South East Asia and the Middle East (Jordan, the UAE and Iran). Life later called for a strategic pivot when Nik temporarily stepped away from the corporate track to focus on family, planning several relocations across the world (Netherlands, East Malaysia, Middle East) where adaptability, cross-cultural communication and a global perspective were the key skills.

10 years ago, Nik co-founded GeomodL in Malaysia, providing strategic advisory on how to navigate fluctuating market cycles and exercise resilience. Now based in Dubai, Nik sits on the boards of Iraya Digital and the Dubai Dataroom, in addition to providing valuable non-technical steering to GeomodL's new development phase.
